Kamran Avanaki is Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Illinois Chicago with a Joint Appointment in the School of Medicine Department of Dermatology. His research is directed toward the design and development of advanced optical imaging technologies to overcome inequity in healthcare, particularly with respect to skin of color. This website is dedicated to other imaging researchers and clinicians who share his vision.
